I have a .375H&H made by W.J Jeffrey and am trying to find out more about the rifle. I e-mailed Jeffery (J Roberts Gunmakers) but never got a reply. Is there another source or way I could get some general information on my rifle?
It has an Enfield action--did some Jefferys come with Enfield actions instead of Mauser?
The barrel reads:
WJ Jeffery & Co Ltd
9 Golden Square, Regent St. London 40322
375 2.85" Cor. MKI 58-300 Max
Stamped on the bolt is: 22W
