I see one on Gunbroker at $810 with no reserve. Is it worth that in 80% condition?

I like that pop-up peep but already bought a .375 -- still it seems they go for more when in better condition.

Since bids started at $300 and have gone up to $810 then at least one person thinks so.

The older BRNOs are quality guns, something you Americans seem to appreciate. In Europe a good BRNO can still be had at a very nice price...but the prices are going up.

CH,

The pop-up peep sight BRNOs are not often seen any more, so the price reflects the scarcity.

I paid as much for a new BRNO M602 .375 H&H bringing it in from Europe 15 years ago, and it did not have that sight.

Well the price seems to be holding steady. I guess I will see if I get the nerve to explain one more rifle and get home in time to bid!

With all the views of this thread and no bids it seem not to be a bargain...

They're commonly in the $1,000-1,300 range, but I haven't seen one with the peep in a long while. Is that blood on the express sight?

Gun broker also has a ruger in 416 rigby that has a buy it now of $950 I believe. Seems very reasonable...

All I know is what is on the ad. I logged on to Gunbroker yesterday for the first time in quite a while and did some of my customary searches and it came up.

I guess I do not want it badly enough, or posting it here was a mistake! It will make a neat rifle for someone but I think it is through my limit.

Ya think?? Your post here got 233 hits before the auction ended, the auction got 511, most of which came after you posted the link after it had been up for almost a week, the top 5 bidders were bidders with one or no prior winning bids. Loose lips sink ships.

I actually had not planned on bidding on it and posted it here really to see if someone wanted it. But then I talked myself into trying. Leaves me more money to finish my other projects!

Okay -- if you guys saw my post and decided to bid on it 'fess up -- I bear no ill will.

I was watching it all week. My handle isn't anywhere on the bid history though. I'm happy with the one I got from billinthewild:

Very nice! My gut feel was that this one was not in nice enough shape to warrant that price, but I have a hard time with gas prices too...
