In most double cartridges, the felt recoil is the same from .500 to 700 as the weight of the rifle increases. a 19lb .700 is similar to a 16lb .600, and a 13lb .577, or an 11lb .500. This assumes all is equal of stock size and shape, drop, pull, etc.
Folks that have shot my .600 are surprised how mild the recoil actually is compared to the BS stories they have read.
