AtkinsonWhy do I want a .458 Lott?
Citori,
Listen to some good avise...
you can kill any animal on earth with your .375 but thats not the point...Its your safari and buying a new rifle is a minor expense compared to your hunt and the 458 Lott will fill your heart with joy and make your hunt wonderful and kick the living crap out of you in the process.
Bottlom line is DO IT!!

For the same reason I ordered my MRC 458 Lott and the same reason a dog licks his balls, because he can

namibiahunterI got one just so I'd have something until my .470 Capstick gets finished.
But I'll probably keep the Lott anyway because it
hurts shoots so good.

Hey, if you is worth, I too am going to buy a Cz 458 Lott and I will never go to Africa. Life is four days and if we do not have hopes and desires what do we have? Enjoy much Lott 458.

BuliwyfBig Bore rifles are fascinating for all of us. Your .375 is not quite a big bore. Do yourself a BIG favor and buy a .500 Schuler Jumbo/.500 Jeffery and you will NEVER look back.
Because the world needs to be protected from water jugs:
And, both are more fun then this:

Brad aka Pill ShooterYou want a 458 Lott RSM so you can say that wasn't so bad and go on to build yourself a 500 Jeffery RSM. But, then youll say I need a 416 to go with my 500 so you'll buy a 416 Rigby RSM and say now I have a 416,458 and a 500 and I spent less than a 375 H&H Dakota 76.

Please refrain from posting any "Freudian" explanations.
You don't need one. I have tried a variety of the biggest bores and found them to be a pain in the shoulder and head.
A .375 H&H is plenty.
