Do you think a Brownells magnum cross bolt will work better than the original screw type cross bolt on a Ruger MKII magnum?

I think so..I think the Brownells cross bolts are made by NECG..properly installed they do exactly what they are intended to do...

No I mean Brownells made by New England Arms, one in the same..I suspect Recnagle makes cross bolts, at twice the price as a rule.

To add a little something to the cross bolts I cut V,s in them with a 3 cornor file all the way around the heads, blue them, then wet the wood real well with a match stick and drops of water, oil them and then tap the heads into the wood a bit at a time until level, then tap them out dry the holes with a hair dryer, blue the heads and tap them back in..You have to glass or glue one head and press it in until cured..Looks real nice. Another option is to cut out the recoil lug center and tighten the cross bar. then glass up the recoil lug..Lot of trouble but sure looks nice.

Are you sure? I didn't think NECG made anything but distribute Recknagel parts.
