Ray It is a Cogswell and Harrison from London. It is .419. I got one of the.419 swaging dies to go from 423 to 419. The first bullet I tried to put through it got lodged. They said now I need to get a .421 die since .004 is too much. Not a happy day. Craigster, got a e-mail address. No other manufacturers out there make one? "D"

Dhunter, I had Lee make a sizer up for me ($30) to reduce 300g .429 bullets. It works fine, but you have to use a good lube like Imperial. Lube the bullet up really well & then put a tiny bit around the bottom edge of the die & push it thru. If I can go from .429-.423 you should be able to go .423-.419, piece of cake. Hawk may be able to size some for you for little extra. It's a good practice & lighter big game bullet. I would want a NF or Woodleigh for heavy big game though.

DHunter, I have performed that operation in the past when 404 were hard to find and only European bullets were available..For one thing I use a massive Hollywood press with a cheater bar..Lots of lube was necessary and stay with the pure copper jackets and pure lead bullets...A bullet swaging die is the best route of course but damn expensive... Probably a better solution would be to have the barrel copied or replaced and call it good, and the Cogswells are not overly expensive rifles even on todays market, although they are nice enough...
