the 10.75x65R Collath is an obsolete cartridge that has case dementions similar to the 405 Win. No load data is available, and rifles so chambered are not common!

Kittner is either German, or Austrian!

Gatogordo,
According to John Donnelly, this cartridge can be made from .45 Basic brass. " Turn the rim to .542 diameter and back chamfer. Cut case to 2.6" and anneal. Form in F/L die. Trim to length (2.56") and chamfer. Fireform case in chamber." From his measurements it has a capacity of 82.5 grains of water to overflow. He also lists a load of 41.3 grains of IMR3031 with a 305 grain lead bullet. This is from his book "The Handloader's Manual of Cartridge Conversions"

Thanks guys, my reference library did not have that caliber listed. Sounds too low powered and too much trouble to fool with. I got the name and caliber off a new listing for a nice appearing double in gunsamerica and it looked interesting and cheap, now I know why. Regards CAT

E. Kettners is a German gunshop. I have the telephone number at home if required.

Thanks 1894, but as I said above, with the low power, odd caliber, etc. I am going to let this one get away. It looked really clean, and was $4250, or roughly 3000 pounds, and I just don't need--check that, can't afford at this time--another expensive "toy" gun. I don't know if it is still available, but it was for sale on www.gunsamerica.com if anyone is interested. Guy might take an offer, I dunno.

Gatogordo,
Actually there are two listed as of Monday 4 June @ 6:00AM Mountain. The one you saw and another with exposed hammers. I liked the one with the hammers better, but as you say the cartridge really doesn't warrant it.
