$500-$700 depending on what 'fair condition' means. That is not a CRF rifle, so fewer people would be interested in it. George

I have always wondered why people are less interested in the Model 70 non CRF rifles, but continue to buy the Remington non CRF rifles with no regard to the fact that they are non CRF. Has anyone ever shown that a Winchester non CRF rifle is inferior to a Remington non CRF rifle?

I don't know, but few people think of 35 year old Remington 700s as even remotely collectible. They're just used guns. George

Depends to a large degree if you are talking DG rifles or just shooters. For DG rifles most folks have an extra bit of comfort knowing that they are hunting with a CRF rifle, for regular hunting, not so much. That said, I have never experienced an extraction problem with a Rem 700 but I do carry a break-down cleaning rod with me when I hunt So the Win non CRF carries the same price/appeal as any other non CRF. Super grades typically get a bit more money, even for the push feed M70s. Take a look at the auction sites. Mike Wilderness is my cathedral, and hunting is my prayer.

Agreed. Over here in Aust, the same applies and whenever I see them in the US, they seem to command a premium.

I've had 2 model 70's in pushfeed. One in 374 H&H and one in 458 Win Mag. Both would jam when cycled fast with soft nose rounds. So I sort of have... DRSS member Constant change is here to stay.
