I have not tried one yet, but e-mailed Ben a month ago asking about the strength of his chassis and if I needed a secondary lug for a 100ft/lbs of recoil. His reply

It should handle it, you will need to use a laminate, bamboo, bastogne, or english walnut.

Hello Drew,

I bought my Accurate Innovations stock a few months ago and all I can say is that I am very satisfied with the service! I paid a 40$ extra rush fee to get it sooner. The stock was completed in a little over 2 weeks. From start to finish, it took just a little over 3 weeks to receive my stock!!! The work was superb, inletting was perfect. I have nothing but great things to say about them. I've added a few pictures... This stock is a Sky Blue laminate, with an Pachmayr XLT recoil pad. Its mounted on a Winchester M70 Stainless in 375 H&H. Its not what I would call a heavy recoiling gun, but it might give you an idea...

Regards,

Maurice

What a SWEET looking stock, on a well done rifle. I wonder if this guy would do this pattern of stock on a Number 1?

I have one that I am planning on using on my 458 Lott built on a winchester 70 classic action. I used it when it was a 300 mag and really found them to be nice stocks. If it doesn't work out I always have the factory tuperware stock until I can get somethign better.
