Real shooters in those days !!
With the 45-70 'rainbow trajectory' we used to have 1000 yd target shoots !! When men were men !
I'd be a little nervous abot those pits in the barrels ! Sometimes with a damascus it would indicate improper weld between the layers ,weakened all the way through.

I wonder if those leaf sights can stay up or if they can, will they stay up exactly the same way every time? A little defect can throw a bullet off at 100yds let alone 400yds.

Now that is a rifle that has seen the world...what eyes she has!
