Gents, Who on AHR (BD2B?) has the 700 AHR loading information for the 1200 gr cast bullets? And, I already asked Wayne. Lastly, anyone with any loading information for the 700 AHR, please post it here, or feel free to PM me...thanks again, gents. Respects, Phill

Your probably fine with a case load of RL-25 over that bullet to start. Then move to faster powders. -Rob Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large numbers to do incredibly stupid things- AH (1941)- Harry Reid (aka Smeagle) 2012 Nothing Up my sleeves but never without a plan and never ever without a surprise!

Wayne loaded some up for me, but I have not chronied them as my chrono is busted right now. I will see if I can find the info we wrote down on it. Used to be bigdoggy700 with 929 posts . Originally registered as bigdoggy 700 in July 2006.

I used about 250gr of Rl-25 in my .700RLG with a 1200gr solid and it ran about 2200fps. It was non-optimal but a good low pressure load. Case capacity of the 700AHR isn't near as much as the 700RLG so a full case load of Rl-25 would be a very safe place to start. H50BMG is way too slow and might hangfire on you. I'd move to Rl-22 and/or 19 carefully. You will probably optimize with a ball powder. Be careful of delayed ignition hangfires when trying to burn such large amounts of powder. Thats why I always liked .50BMG based cases. One double concussion will really ring your chimes and if you get a squib don't open the bolt for 2 minutes and do it from the SIDE of the GUN! Don't Ask me how I know! My kids called the .700RLG "Bad Karma" for a reason.-Rob Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large numbers to do incredibly stupid things- AH (1941)- Harry Reid (aka Smeagle) 2012 Nothing Up my sleeves but never without a plan and never ever without a surprise!

Rob, I'll stick with your recommendations regarding powder choice and load development...no need to blow myself up and ruin a beautiful rifle, to boot. I'll post load results as soon as Wayne finishes "BULLDOZER." Respects, Phill
