I received an email the other day from C&H Research, these are the makers of the mercury liquid filled recoil reducers.

They are now tooled to make a reducer 1 & 1/16" inch (1.0625") or 26.9875mm in diameter for "any practical length" for around $60.00.

While I know some discount their effectiveness, a >1" reducer about 6" (152.4mm) long with 18 oz. of liquid mercury rolling around in it sure wouldn't hurt to have, especially for the price.

Thought I'd pass this on.

I have no brake on my .505 but I do have a single mercury tube in the stock. I have no idea if it helps with recoil any but the rifle balance is spot on.

I have three mercury reducers in the butt of my .585 and I think they would have to help a little. Just a combination bewteen these and the break make for a shootable rifle.
