Getting ready for my cape buffalo hunt Aug 3. Thanks to everyone on this site with advice on buying my double, loads etc.

I took advice from some people on this site and bought some 375 softs & cup points from NF for my 375 HH brockman stocked CZ and some 474 cup points for my Merkel 470

Shot all today. Spoke with mike at ne, he recommended 71 RX15 & 300 soft & 70 of same for cup point. Loaded three of each just to try.

Soft point 300 gr = 2623 and UNDER 1/2" group at 100 yards

Cup point 300 gr = 2598 and UNDER 1/2" group at 100 yards the cup point is 1 1/4" higher then soft.


Shot 470 with 110 gr of h4831 in bell cases (stamped Rigby) shoots 2176 and prints 1" higher at 50 yards then 500 gr woodleigh at 50 yards. This is what i am going to use next month.
