I like Schmidt & Bender scopes and find them rugged and reliable. Currently I have a S&B Zenith 1.1-4x24 with the Flash Dot 7 on a .416 Rigby. I am wanting to get a little more magnification as my eyes age to make the rifle a little more versatile as a one gun rifle for all around plains game and Buffalo . The extra magnification would also be nice at the range . The straight tube makes it one of the few scopes with magnification above 4X that will fit the long Rigby action.
Anyone have any experience with this specific Schmidt & Bender Exos 1-8x24 scope.

I have one on Dakota 416 Rigby. I like it.
Just note the CC mode parallax is 7 yds.
At 8 x, the exit pupil is quite small, so maybe 6x lowelight and 8x bright.

I posted this exact question a while back, not a lot of these so not much feedback. I couldn't bring myself to drop 2500 so I purchased a Leica 1-6 from Cameraland, half the price but I doubt if its half the quality. May not have the 8x but I don't think i will miss that on the 416 Rigby. Eye relief is great and very clear scope.

I got mine 30% off at europtic, love it! not sure its that much better than the trijucon I have in 1x6 relative to cost. Mounted low on rifle when bolt is up there is almost no clearence.

I have one- it's a tough reliable scope that hold's it's zero well. It's performed well in Alaska and Africa on two different.375's. With Low scope rings the bolt barely clears the ocular on my Dakota. As you'd expect, it's not a twilight long range scope when cranked up to 8x, but the illuminated reticle is pretty good. Eye relief is not the greatest- about 90 mmm, so you'll want to be careful not to creep the scope on a 416 Rigby.
I Got a really good deal on mine from Doug at Cameraland.

Thanks.
The Leica,Zeiss,S&B and Swarovski are all quality glass. In my opinion none of them have long enough eye relief (90-95mm) , 5mm = only about a 1/4” difference for the .416 type rifles. I do like the 8X on the S&B. EuroOptic treated me well and I should have the scope this Friday. Won’t be doing any reviews until the summer heat goes away.
