I'm not planning anything just interested in what people think of them. Aparently you can get them in 17 rem. to 460 wea. Also you can get a 9.3x64. ( just throwing that one in because I can) www.schuermanarms.com

I held a couple at the Dallas show, and remeber a write up in one of the better gun mags. Nice looking guns but complex, they claim it has a lot stronger bolt head and locking lugs than the the 98 type actions, Asking price $4000.00 + for a finshed rifle with a syn stock. If it works as claimed could be a good value on a big bore such as a 416 or bigger. JD DRSS 9.3X74 tika 512 9.3X74 SXS Merkel 140 in 470 Nitro

I had one hunter bring one in 375 H&H last fall on a bear hunt. I fired it and it was a smooth and accurate rifle but the main spring was way to weak and gave misfires 50% of the time. Including the first shot at the bear at 10 yards. If the main spring issue can be sucessfully worked out I was otherwise quite impressed with the rifle. It looks well made and hell-for stout but in the end, isn't it just a really expensive Sauer 90 or Colt Sauer? Same lock-up; it just comes in more action sizes. "Experience" is the only class you take where the exam comes before the lesson.

They do look unconventional but have a number of well thought out features : like the strong simple ejector, the ability to place the safety on either side of the receiver and controlled round feeding. They are also as smooth as a bolt gun gets. With a round in the magazine you can lift the bolt handle and give the rifle a quick back and foreward shake and the bolt will move to the rear and then slam foreward, picking up the next round, chambering it and locking down, all without touching the bolt handle. It is honestly that smooth. As I pointed out, if they can get the mainspring issue dealt with it appears to be a well thought out and designed rifle.
