A very special barrel too.
Not one of those inventory barrels.

I ordered a 458 10 twist 6gr on April 3 Dan shipped on July 2nd....you can't do much better,right on schedule,a custom contour too and it is perfect. Dan knew exactly how and what to do to get what I wanted,well done.

Interesting fact regarding Dan Lilja's fluting of .375 barrels:

It can make a #6 sporter contour as light in weight as a #3 sporter contour, at 26" length for both.

After seeing how successful that No.6 fluted .375 barrel was (two of those, with standard 1.250" knoxform diameter like Saeed uses on his .375/404J),
I asked Dan to do one of his .408 barrels with 1.350" diameter knoxform diameter and No.7 sporter contour.
He agreed that was good.
