Does anybody know of any plastic ammo boxes such as MTM, that are large enough for a .577NE 3"? I was looking at 20 gauge boxes but they are only 3" high, and so obviously they are too short.

Can anybody help me?

Steve

I'm away from home right now so I'll have to dig mine out to tell you what brand they are. They are a tight fit but they do work.

I also have a couple of "slip on top" plastic boxes that were given to me by a friend. These were from his 500NE loads from Superior Ammunition Company. They actually work the best. You might contact Superior and ask them what box they use.

MTM case model number RF-22-LM. Holds 22 rounds with ease.

Fellas:
I don't know about the .577, but the MTM boxes that are advertised for the .600 DON'T work. The rims overlap so the cartridges climb up with every added round. A reap pain so I stagger them and only use 10 rounds per box.

For the 8-bore, take a standard 20-round box for the .458 size cartridge and use a 1 inch Forster bit and drill out four compartments and make it one. You now have a nice box for five rounds of 8 bore and also 10, although too small for the big 4-bore.
Cheers
Cal

Same gun Karl, I have tried to sell it but nobody seems to want it, and I was not even asking for the gunsmithing costs, let alone with all the bullets, cases and dies thrown in.
