Right now on ebay there is a .512" 470 gr. LFW plain base with no bids on it... yet! If you have a fifty take a look.

I bought a mould from him. He is a straight up guy, and can answer any questions you have. He cast the bullets in the picture on Ebay to test each mould before putting it up for sale. He is actually selling these moulds for Veral's wife, Judy Smith. Veral's parole hearing was delayed again...and Judy's cleaning out the closets to make ends meet.

He also personally owns a large number of unusual-sized moulds (like .577), and casts bullets to custom order. See the post on Cast Bullets forum if interested.

I'm not sure I got the whole thing straight, but Veral Smith was involved in some kind of tax revolt organization(?). Anyway, he got convicted on some tax charge or other, and the Klinton administration decided to make an example of him. They put him in the clink, and extorted a promise never to work in the firearms industry again in return for keeping his wife out of jail and a reduced sentence for himself. I think he was guilty of the tax charge, but most people get a slap on the wrist for it, compared to him. He was unfairly targeted IMHO. I seem to remember a five year stretch before eligible for parole?

Maybe somebody will set me straight on the details.

Anyway, I think he (and by extension his family) got a rough deal.

David,

I seem to be missing a post where I answered your question on the book. I have not read it and will not buy one until my financial situation has improved!

I have shot BearTooth bullets lubed with the LBTR blue lube, they worked well at 2450 fps. Started leading just above that.
