KazooAmerican stock CZ 416 Rigby need Bedding?
I know the Euro stocked CZ was prone to cracks. Does the same hold true for the new American stock? I haven't heard as much negative about the Ruger and was wondering if the new stock design on the CZ is less likely to crack. Do they all need bedding? Thanks.

FourTailsOr send it to CZ-USA in Kansas City for them to bed the action for $80.00 and be done with it.

JudgeGI was advised by my gunsmith to bed my American .458 Lott and also put in two cross bolts. JJS, who posts here, cracked the stock on his (un-bedded) American stock the first day he shot it. As simple as the proceedure is, why take a chance? You certainly won't make the stock crack, and you may well prevent it from doing so. And... most anyone can do it themselves in an afternoon with a kit from Brownell's.

KazooI guess it's one of those things that make you go hmmmm in life. If it's such a quick fix and CZ-USA will do it for $80 then why don't they just fit that into their production schedule. Could be an added selling point. Is the Ruger factory bedded?
