Think of it as the British equivalent to the American 40-82 BP cartridge round. Not a traditional express cartridge as we think of them today. Still a good woods cartridge suitable for black bear, deer, and the like, I should think.

No, it isn't a Purdey but it is nice...just not nice enough to justify what they want for it given the rounds capabilities.
