Thanks Andre,

there was also a recent picture of one made by a german company which would not have been as pricey as the H&H and that is the one I am trying to track down.

My smith wants to know about it.

Did you see that Searcy?

Wow... nice gun. He's had it for 6-months at $8500.00 ($1K less than new!)

I can't beleive a deal like that has hung around that long!

I haven't double checked but I believe the Searcy on that site is a "Field Grade" and not the current PH model. I would wager most would pay the extra $1000 for something of the newer variety that is also fit to them. Now, if that price difference became $1500 or more, that Field Grade would move A LOT quicker I suspect.

The differences on the outside are the PH is slimmer, and trimmer, and feels much lighter, but really isn't lighter. I handled Rays, at the Dallas show two years ago, and it fit me perfectly. I found it much improved over the old Field grade, though both are good rifles! Internally the new ones have tumbler intercepters I'm told, that avoids the possibility of doubleing! I think the $1000 more in price is well worth it!
