Made another trip to the range today, I was very disappointed the last 4 trips with my 375 HH. had tried 300 Swift A frame & H4350, h414 and WW760 and consistently got 3 to 4" gropus, I was ready to rebarrel the rifle.
Tried 80 gr VV 160, the bullet would not seat completely to the crimp ring, just to it. Tried these and gor 1 1/2" 5 shot groups, the first 3 shots made a cloverleaf, needless to say I was happy.
Next, i tried 69 gr RX 15 and got 1 3/4" groups. Now I feel better about the rifle and will probably not rebarrel. This will be my backup rofe when I go to Tanzenia on August 5, 2006, I will ship it and my 470 NE and the ammunition in different cases in case something gets lost.

gi,

I just recently sold a CZ 550, in 375 H&H, and that was probably the biggest mistake I have made in selling rifles to date...mine just shot from the start.

I was going to give RL 15 a try but the local shops were all out. I looked for another powder to use, with the Barnes 270grain TSXs, H4895 was a powder choice listed in the Barnes manual, so I decided to give it a try.

I got 2700fps, in 80F+ degree temps and sub MOA first at bat. I have shot several groups that were just one hole...you may wish to try H4895 and the Barnes TSXs, worked extremely well, at the bench and in the field....
