Any of you Big Boomers ever tried the 1000gr Woodleighs in your rifles, soft or solids?I am thinkng of these "cranked up" to around 2000fps should be devastating!

Hi Tom,
That would put it at the same as my 700 nitro, 1000 grn at 2000ft/sec. Should give plenty of power. Glad to see you made it back from your hunt in Africa.

Hello Tom, welcome back.

Safarikid,
Did you shoot a cape buffalo or elephant with the 600 Overkill? Appreciate a little story here.
Also, could you comment if there was any hassle whatsoever on the transporting of the 600, from customs documentation to airlines, etc. Am thinking about taking it in the future and I believe you are the first, clap

Dak

One Buff with the Overkill and one each Zebra and Warthog...No problems going through Amsterdam if you apply ahead for gun travel permit.Tanz also, just got to do homework/paperwork ahead of trip.....Now,going the other way through South Africa can be alot more hassle!
