new_guyThere is a "606" covered in the latest issue of African Hunter.
Picking up on New Guy's comment. The .606 featured in African Hunter is the .606 Mammoth. It is based on a .600 Nitro case (.620 diameter bullet) with the rims turned down and a 25-degree shoulder for head spacing. Hunting load in the article was 130 grains of RL-15 pushing a 850 grain bullet at 2100 fps. Bullets were turned down .600 Nitro 900 grain bullets. Built on a Remington 720 action with a Pac-Nor barrel. Considered to be effective on animals up to and including ground squirrels.

The MetalsmithUp to and including ground squirrels? Now waitta miute, if you take that data that you include, I'd believe this rifle would be fully capable, in the hands of someone who's skilled and responsible, of taking a rabbit provided that it's not aggitated or overly aggressive.
Not recommended for charging rabbits the jess but OK for in the open side shots!

BiggestGunIf my article was published as submitted then all the technical specifications are included. I was waiting for my copy to arrive to see exactly what they published before adding comments. It seems the east coast gets their mail a week or two before us westerners. Marshall Jones

You act like I should know what I am talking about. I am just repeating what is in the article.
(Well, the ground squirrel comment happened to be mine.
