Found a real nice 404J on a winchester 70 action with a beautiful english walnut stock that fits me like a glove. Not a scratch on it!
Made by Dennis Olson. Been doing a little research on him and it appears he is very well thought of.
Real nice piece and always wanted a 404J. Been thinking about making one for quite a while but I doubt I could do better than this one and it is available today.

just buy it...

Mine is on a VZ-24 and is about perfect with 400gr Barnes in the 2350 range. 2-7X Leupold on QD rings and 3-leaf express sights on a milled integral rib.

I actually bought another rifle from this company . New in the box Sako L61R 30-06. When I was in there to pick it up I noticed this rifle. Quarter rib, looks to be a NECG barrel band front sight, barrel band sling swivel, 23" pipe, Leupold VX3 1.5 5 in Talley mounts.
Does not have a drop floor plate so I suspect only holds 3 down, But handles very nicely. Actually pretty light (great carry gun). 14" LOP which is perfect for me. Has Fleur De what ever checkering which is not my favorite but can tell you the PRICE IS RIGHT!
Might have to try and sneak it in, my wife knows about the Sako…so

Dennis reworked a 416 for me--I am very happy both with his work and his communication while working on the gun.

Highly recommend him.

SAKO L61R original factory magazine would take 4-5 ammos down, depending of caliber.

If it's the original m70 set up, then yes, 3 down and one in the pipe.

Dennis Olson converted my first 404 M70 from a 300 RUM and did a great job. I don't think you'll go wrong if he did the work.
