londonhunterPerhaps you will be kind enough to answer my query ?
I did not request information on Talley rings which I am well aware of.

DeweyI use these on some rifles, but, go to the Leupold QRWs for my light CRF P-64 Mod. 70 .375H&H custom carbine. It snorts and bucks a bit, but the QRWs are as solid as Gibralter.
I have a Browning Safari FN-LE .458WM and have used the QRWs on it for the little shooting I have done with it, to date. I will keep these or perhaps go to the Leupold QRs as they are more compact and seem rocksolid on all the .338WMs and other rifles I have used them on for about 20 years.
HTH, I like Burris Zees, especially the Signature type, but, I doubt that they are quite the thing for your .458WM. I also have and like Talley lever mounts, but, do not see them as "better" than the Leupies. HTH.

Idaho Sharpshooteryou were expecting a straight answer, here?
Closest thing, a general consensus that they are not considered up to the task.
Have a good day,

tetonkaI suggest you do not use anything aluminum on a heavy recoil rifle. Example: any 300 Mag and above. Zee rings might be fine on a varmit gun with lighter recoil. JMHO = No on .458 WM
Always go for quality even if it costs a little more on a big game or DG rifle. (Especially a DG rifle) It may be the cheapest part of the trip.
Good shooting and Hunting

LabmanI have a set on my Model 700 classic in .375 H&H. They work fine. I also have them on a .338 Win Mag as well. I combine them with dual dovetail bases. Makes for a great set up. Not exactly the same as Zee rings, but I'm sure they will work fine with the Weaver style bases. Just make sure you get good steel Weaver style bases and not the aluminum ones, which I doubt will hold up to big bore recoil. If Burris made them in ringmounts for a Ruger Model 77 they would have been on my .416 Riby RSM as well. Since I couldn't get them for the Ruger I went with Warne QD ringmounts.
