SHIFLAN, I HAVE BEEN USING BERTRAM BRASS IN BY 450No2 FOR ABOUT FOUR YEARS. I HAVE 60 CASES THAT HAVE BEEN FIRED AT LEAST FIFTEEN TIMES EACH. I NEVER EXPECTED THEM TO LAST THAT LONG SO WHEN I STARTED USING THEM I DID NOT KEEP COUNT. I USE THEM FOR WILD PIG,DEER HUNTING, AND PLINKING. I SHOOT MY DOUBLES A LOT. I HAVE ALSO USED HDS AND BERTRAM BRASS IN MY 450/400 3 1/4.THE BERTRAM BRASS HAS WORKED FINE HERE ALSO. I HAVE HET TO DISCARD ANY CASES. I HAVE 20 BERTRAM CASES FOR THE 450 No2 THAT I AM KEEPING A RECORD OF,THEY HAVE BEEN FIRED SIX TIMES WITH FULL POWER LOADS AND STILL LOOK BRAND NEW. GIVE THOSE BERTRAM 450 3 1/4 CASES A TRY YOU MIGHT BE SUPRISED. ALSO FOR A GOOD PIG, DEER,ETC. BULLET, TRY SOME HORNADY .458DIA. 350 GRAIN ROUND NOSE BULLETS. YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO FIND A LOAD THAT WILL REGULATE AS GOOD AS THE 480 GRAIN BULLETS. THE STORIES OF NOT BEING ABLE TO FIND OTHER LOADS WITH DIFFERENT WEIGHT BULLETS HAS NOT PROVEN TRUE IN MY DOUBLES. HOWEVER I WOULD ONLY USE NEW OR MAYBE ONCE FIRED BRASS ON A DANGEROUS GAME HUNT OR OTHER EXPENSIVE HUNT. | |||
