I know it's been said many times on here, but now that I have experienced it first hand, I wanted to take the time to say Wayne and AHR is an outstanding gunsmith to work with.

A few weeks ago, I sent him my CZ550 American in 416 Rigby, asking to have the upgrade #1 performed along with shortening the barrel a bit to improve the overall handling. At Wayne's recommendation I had him cut 2" off and remount the factory front sight.

Wayne got the work done faster than promised and exactly on budget/estimate.

I had a chance to fire a few rounds this weekend:

- AHR trigger and 3-pos safety: excellent
- New crown finish: excellent
- Front sight install: excellent
- Feed and function: excellent from both sides, full or partial magazine.

I know it's long way from a full custom build, but like I said, now that I have first hand experience, I wanted to say that all the positive things we've seen/heard about Wayne and his operation are true.

And I now have a real reason to even own this "improved" rifle... off to Tanzania in the fall for buff and plains game... my first trip to Africa after many years of wishing. Time to start burning some powder.

I had Match Grade Arms do a few improvements to my CZ 416 Rigby. Cut the barrel down to 23" and remount the front sight, place a barrel band swivel on it, and a couple of other niceties. Then had the trigger disconnect while attempting to shoot my first buffalo. Very dangerous.

Wayne heard about that and asked me to send him the rifle in order to replace the trigger with his, free of costs as he didn't want me to be without! Can you believe that offer?! Of course I'd never accept such and made the decision to send him the rifle, let him go through it 100% and make the following improvements that don't really fit the numbered packages. Wayne gunkoted the rifle, smoothed the action and insured it feeds FN bullets 100% of the time, regained my ability to put 3 down in the magazine as that had been lost with Match Grade Arms, put the new trigger in as well as the M-70 style safety.

Yea, it's not a true custom rifle; that's for sure. But that rifle is now something to be proud of and I feel I can trust it again 100%. The plan is to take it buffalo hunting this July in Moz. It will be the first time I've carried it afield since the trigger incident back in 2006. Wayne did an outstanding job on my rifle, within budget, and got it back to me promptly on top of all.

Anyone with a stock CZ really should look into the improvements Wayne offers on these rifles. Highly recommended.

Wayne recently did a number 3 upgrade for me on a CZ .416 Rigby and it is easily as nice as or even nicer than any Dakota I have ever owned. Good advice, quick turnaround, and very fair prices. Highly recommended.

I have 2 rifles from Wayne a Model 70 rebarreled to 416 Ruger and a 458 Lott #3 conversion. Both were delivered on time and budget and are 2 of the most reliable and beautifully finished rifles I own. As said by others highly recommended

Wayne is a class act. I have 4 of his rifles and will be getting a few more.

I would say he is the best example in the gunsmithing business - always on time and at stated costs.

Quality company and guy all around.
