I have heard of it. No one seems to like them, save one fella on biggerhammer.net who likes his. Hesse just changed their name to Vulcan lately, as I understand. Some speculate it's to distance themselves from the sullied reputation of their AR's and other products. Be forewarned!

There are just too many good .50s to fool with the el chepos with questionable reputations like the Hesse or some of the build from a kit rifles that are out there. Armalite, Barret, Surbu, Grizzly, Ferret, Watson, State Arms, McMillan, Wind-Runner and quite a few more run the price range from $1000 to ten times that amount. A good place to check them out is at www.FCSA.org or www.Biggerhammer.net Do not just jump in and buy a .50 BMG based on price alone, that should really be only a small part of the decision. Safety, accuracy, reliability, company longevity, and reputation are much more important IMHO.
I think the McMillan 50 can be turned into a magazine feed bolt action. It is also in a small package and it looks more like a bolt action than anything else. Good luck.
