Romey load Woodleighs (for krieghoff) - see: http://www.krieghoff.co.uk/56.html Haven't tried it myself tho there are rumours its loaded quite hot - ask 400 NE from this forums - I believe he has done some tests with. Here are some balistics (and prices ) from Frankonia catalog: Hope it helps.

Do they manufacture bullets? Hornady uses there own bullets in there ammo. So they might use there own bullets.

If I remember correctly they used Woodies (that was seven years ago), all I can remember is that I could get my Heym DR in 500-416 to shoot better with my handloads than the Wolfgang Romey ammo that it was supposed to be regulated with from the factory. The only experience is one that I can relate from a friend, who found the ammo was loaded "Too Hot". I.E. the velocities from the ammo were above published data for a regulated double rifle. Rusty We Band of Brothers! DRSS, NRA & SCI Life Member "I am rejoiced at my fate. Do not be uneasy about me, for I am with my friends." ----- David Crockett in his last letter (to his children), January 9th, 1836 "I will never forsake Texas and her cause. I am her son." ----- Jose Antonio Navarro, from Mexican Prison in 1841 "for I have sworn upon the altar of god eternal hostility against every form of tyranny over the mind of man." Thomas Jefferson Declaration of Arbroath April 6, 1320-“. . .It is not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom - for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.”

Wolfgang Romney loads the ammo for Westley Richards, and the limited amount of it that I used was good quality. Dieter Horneber makes the brass for Mr. Romney. Bullets were Woodleigh.

Ganyana: Bullets are Woodleigh. I won't shoot any more of that stuff in a double rifle. If fired two rounds of it in a double .400/.360 NE, both over a chronograph. Both registered 350 fps too fast, and the gun was frozen shut. A friend bought a box of 500 grain .470 to try in a new Heym. The first two rounds over the 35P were both over 2300 fps, so he stopped shooting it. I fired ammo from several batches of Romey in a .500/.416 K-gun. That stuff didn't seem to be overpressure, but velocity and accuracy was very erratic. About 20% of the cases split at the shoulder on first firing. That rifle shoots very well with handloads. ----------------------------------------------- "Serious rifles have two barrels, everything else just burns gunpowder."
