Scope Mounts for 375 Login/Join

I'm trying to figure out what scope mounts to use for my 375. It's a Win M70. I want QD mounts to be able to take off the scope and possibly to switch between a red-dot and a higher magnification scope (as well as get to the irons).

My initial thought was to go with Talley's, but a lot of mounts for red-dots and reflex sights are set-up for weaver type mounts.

Are Warne mounts a good choice? They should be compatible with a QD mount for a red-dot or reflex sight.

I appreciate the thoughts.

FYI, I enjoy reading on this forum and especially enjoyed the posts about setting up a 375 for everything.

How about steel weavers (grand slam). I have them on a Sako/FN, seem to work. If you buy a red dot with built in weaver the 2 piece may be too far apart.

I am using a Leapold 1 ½ -4 with an illuminated retackle with the power off you just have the standard crosshair with the power just barley on you have a slightly illuminated recital that will show up ageist a dark back ground like a buff in the shadows. I can turn it to max and it is like a big dot for closes up or running shots. I like having the magnification when I want it and able to dial down to nearly 0 when I don’t. I am using the Talley QD. I also have a 4-12 power scope for long range with Talley QD so I can swap them out.
What diameter red dot do you plan on using? You might call Talley and see if they have something that will work.

Leupold advised their quick detachable mount is as strong as their dual dovetail mount. They have performed perfectly on our .375 and .416 rifles. Their appearance is also complimentary to a model 70.

quickdraw,

I'm a big fan of the Leupold QRW system. The bases work with a number of different rings and I've found the rings to be easy to use and repeatability quite good.

Quickdraw,
I have about 3 sets of bases and rings for the Mod 70. You pay the shipping and I will send what I have to you. They didn't work for me. Never could get enough windage out of any of them to get the scope sighted in properly.
