Rob what happen with 505 Gibbs, I know you finished her up, and then got wraped up with your 600 OK, but have you had a chance to hunt with her yet? As you shoot from the left shoulder , how do you work the right handed bolt?

Dave- The 505 Gibbs is completed and No I have not hunted with it at all . Just worked up some loads and show it off from time to time. I'm probably going to take it to Botswanna next year for Ele.!I had Paul Zorn the Zim PH (associated with Ray) staying with me for a week and I had to pry his hands off of it with a crowbar. It almost went back to Zim with him! I hate to say it, but it's almost too nice to take hunting. I'm building a 470 MBOGO right now and have the metal work done and the action inletted into the stock. I'll post some pics soon. I actually like real working guns better than showpieces. With that said, I got some serious practice at real fine inletting on the 505 project and it really payed off later. I shoot lefty as I'm right eye dominant and I can work a right hand bolt like lightning. An advantage is that the grip hand never gets hit by even a severely swept back bolt handle. It's no disadvantage at all.-Rob

Rob here's hopeing you smack some thing BIG with it, I was asking, for I also shoot left handed and have inherited several large rifles from the ole man,,I find that after the shot if I roll the rifle just a little to the left I can reach over and work the bolt fairly smooth and quick.
