Some gun writers say this. But it is wrong, a .425 WR case� diameter is too big for the magazine of the Blaser to take 3 rounds, as it is said in the announcement.
If you want to refer to a "mother" cartridge (it makes only sense if you can buy them and use it for loading), it is a slightly necked up 11.2x60 mm Schuler/Mauser which again is a rebated rimless version of the old 11 mm mod. 71 military Mauser.

Well one thing is for certain... all the nutz will be neckin that thing back and forth from 22-338 here in the united states.

Now even the germans have discovered the wonders of the 45-70. and when my 30-06 has burned out I can rebore and chamber to 45 blaser.

Checking the books , the 45 Blaser is nothing more than an updated version of the old 11.2x60 Mauser which also had a rebated rim. Factory load was 332 at 2198.
