Some gun writers say this. But it is wrong, a .425 WR case� diameter is too big for the magazine of the Blaser to take 3 rounds, as it is said in the announcement. If you want to refer to a "mother" cartridge (it makes only sense if you can buy them and use it for loading), it is a slightly necked up 11.2x60 mm Schuler/Mauser which again is a rebated rimless version of the old 11 mm mod. 71 military Mauser.
Checking the books , the 45 Blaser is nothing more than an updated version of the old 11.2x60 Mauser which also had a rebated rim. Factory load was 332 at 2198.
