I have taken my bolts for the above mentioned rifles to my smith to get rid of the c-clips and add a second camming nut on the fireing pin. I will let you all know how it went when I get the bolts back. Thought you folks would be interested.
Funny all my other cz's did not have c-clips just the 9.3 and .416.

I just took them to my smith who will fix them up him self. On my 9.3 bolt it looks as though there is enough thread on the fireing pin ahead of the c-clip to place the second nut straight on.

L-howell, it is only on the cz 550's and only some of them not all. I have 5 cz's and two of them had c-clips all the others where free of them. Idon't think it's a big deal to fix at any rate. Apparently it is best to have them fixed. Okie John had a 9.3 that the c-clip loosened on. Customers complained to cz and they have since reverted back to the two nuts I think.
