I own and have built two 470MBOGO's and two 505 Gibbs. I vote for the 470MBOGO. It's a far better designed cartridge and it has fantastic penetration.-Rob

If I have to take a beating like that then give me the bigger gun...I will take the 500 Jefferys or 505 Gibbs over any smaller caliber as cross section of bullet is about everything...

That said , I am perfectly content with a 40 cal. at about 2100 to 2400 FPS..If I need more I will shoot my loaded down .470 at 2020 FPS, they all three work very well...
