I just talked with Ed Plummer at American Hunting Rifles ( AHR) and he is ready to accept orders for .600 OK brass. The cost is $3.35/case and Dieter Horneber apparantly is going to make a run in December ( 2004). Ed has the proper IMPORT/EXPORT permits and will even accept credit cards. I've talked to Dieter and he and Ed have everything ready to go. You can call Ed at AHR (406)-961-4944 and place an order. Ed is currently ordering 1000 cases and if you want to get in on it, now is the time. By the way Ed also has in production a single stack mag for the Cz550 for the .600OK which is the way to go!-Rob

Great job Rob, now we have a good source for quality brass!
That alone should triple orders at AHR

It really makes sense to deal with one source for the actions, stocks, and now brass. Ed Plummer will do a good job for those that are interested. Besides Rob, he has the most experience with this cal.

Based on our last hunt, I have designed a new version of the .600OK.It will be based on the CZ550 action with a 23 inch internally braked barrel, AHR single stack magazine (holding three down) and a Mcmillan express stock. Total weight about 10.5 lbs and finished in Gun Coat. This gun will be designed for the 163 gr IMR7828 load with 900 gr woodleighs. Open sights and set up for the 2.5X leupold compact scope. Yes ,it will hurt when shot off the bench, but for serious African hunting it should be unbeatable! No crossbolts, just steelbed and a second barrel lug to hold it all together. This will not be a pretty gun, just a unconditional FIGHT STOPPER.From 10yrds to a little over 100 yrds it will have no comparison!!! I think we may need to get another run of .600OK barrels made by Pac-Nor?-Rob

Rob,
AHR's mag holds 3 down? What's the cost for that?

BTW, how's that throating reamer coming along? I'd love to try some Woodleigh solids. I have some of the Bridger solids to try out next.

Ed was able to get Dieter to make some in 3.2" OAL. I just ordered 500 of them for the necked down projects.

Hitting the 1000 pc min should not be an issue
