218 BeeAre we talking about Kevin "Doctari" Robertson?
I sure as hell don't have any complaints.

jeffeossoI handed him a dummy 458 Accrel at HSC one year. He asked bullet weight, velocity, and oal. Then told me
"It's bloody perfect"
If it is "Doctari", he knows what he is talking about, moreso than most.

chuck375I had him sign my copy of "The Perfect Shot" at the SCI Conference in Reno or Vegas (can't remember which). His story about his first experience with his 505 Gibbs he bought from a neighbor inspired me to get my 500 Jeffery.

He's the real deal and a super nice guy. Knows his stuff.
But, I'd take his view of recoil from a big bore with a grain of salt. He is a very large man.
He is a veterinarian and the author of Perfect Shot and Perfect Shot II. I have both. Instructive books.

He's a little smaller than me

but I am a recoil spong
Jeffe,
I shot with you years ago, I'm sure you don't remember. At a shoot sponsored by Greg Rodriguez. You too are a large man and agree you are a recoil sponge. I was amazed at your one shot groups with a .416, but that was before I got my Bill Wiseman .416 does that. I love that rifle.
I'm no recoil sponge. My .458 Lott is about all I can handle, and then only a few times in a row. That said a .470 double is a walk in the park. Difference in weight.
