If the 458 Win. can be fired in a 458 Lott on an emergency basis, can a 458x2 American be fired in a 458 Win.?

YEP!... kinda like a 38 short sw. you can't shoot a 450 marlin in any of those, as the belt is too far forward.

You could always turn the barrel back enough threads but why bother as you would still have a long-action.....just load your 458 down to the 458x2" level and save having to trim all the brass.
