Jamison...from Grafs or Huntingtons. Good stuff. Gary DRSS NRA Lifer SCI

Thanks. The only other option is Bertram, correct? And is Jamison preferred because the Bertram is soft? The only reason I am curious is I like the idea of this round in a single loader versus the 470 Nitro because of all those inexpensive .458 bullets that are made for the 45/70 that can be utilized for light loads...

I would purchase any brand over Bertram, the reason being, the only Bertram brass I ever bought was so inconsistant as to dimensions that I couldn't get some of the cases into the shellholder to load them. I've heard nothing but good about Jamison. "I ask, sir, what is the Militia? It is the whole people. The Jamison is great brass. I acually had only minor resistance when I initally sized the new brass and overall lenghts were very close. I'll buy more if needed for sure. Gary DRSS NRA Lifer SCI

sorry to say jamison also makes some bad brass. their original 470 brass could not be sized to fit the chambers ! hopefully they have corrected this. there is still some bell brass around if you are lucky enough to find it. and just because one had a problem once doesn't mean corrective action asn't been taken. not all businesses function like the automakers. I use Horneber. The same stuff like WR (Wolfgang Romey). The quality is far away from RWS but they do their job...
