Yesterday night reading a hunting book, I saw some pictures of a broken stock. I was wondering what will be the best synthetic stock for the MKII in 416 Rigby ??? I know a nice piece of wood looks better but this is also a working rifle so I must be prepared. You know, Murphy is everywhere..... Thanks L

I don't think anyone makes a synthetic to fit this. You could make your own by converting one for another rifle. Rebuild, reshape, reinforce, re-inlet, glass bed, repaint. I am currently getting ready to put a CZ 550 .378 Wby into a Weatherby Mark V Custom Shop stock. I have an RSM .416 Rigby. The bedding with recoil plate in forearm and no action recoil lug would indeed be a challenge to fit with a synthetic stock. You would need to create a very solid forearm: solid epoxy and reinforcing steel.

Thanks RIP, It seems I will just do a good bedding on the wood stock and pray L
