Want to hunt pigs and scrub bulls with a double rifle with other double rifle hunters?

Here's your chance.

My good friend Alan Moon, an outfitter with a choice concession in the wilds of Cape Yorke Peninsula is offering double rifle hunters a group double rifle hunt after the wild razorbacks and angry scrub bulls of Far North Queensland. Truly one of the world's last wilderness areas.

Some pics to enjoy.

More to follow soon .

For prices you need to contact Alan. I'm not selling his hunts, just helping a friend out. Also I'm very seriously thinking of going myself so want the hunt booked out. As long as I don't book myself out of a place!

I've provided his details below.

Alan Moon Safaris & Videos< !--color-->

The area doesn't include water buffalo. The concession is in the Cape Yorke Peninsula in Far North Queensland. Very similar country to the Northern Territory with a
"Wet" and a "Dry" season, crocodiles galore, lots of pigs, excellent fishing, and scrub bulls.

Here's a picture so you get the picture

People always talk about cape buffalo charges and sometimes about water buffalo charges, but scrub bulls hunt for hunt would easily out charge any of them. They sometimes charge unprovoked on sight. And they are tough and mean. It is not for no reason Alan uses a U/O .400/.350 or his side by side .470 for these critters as a backup.

I think your Searcy .700 NE might just do the job too

Details of the hunt from Alan:

I'm thinking of putting aside one week from my 2004 Cape York hunting safaris just for double rifle hunters use.

This would mean that there would be 3 or 4 vacancies for clients wanting to hunt with their doubles.

Hunt duration would be 5 to 7 days with an extra 2 days travel time and will be leaving from Cairns.

Air travel is also possible if hunters were pushed for time.

Game available will include Scrub Bulls (trophy fee), Wild Boar, Brumbies, and excellant fishing is available for barramundi, sarratoga, sooty grunta and other species.
Clients participating will have plenty of opportunity to shoot their doubles at game and there will be no problem regarding locating game at distances well suited to the use of open sights.

The best time for this hunt would be late September but could be done anytime from start of August till end of October.

Anyone interested in obtaining more details can send an email (or use the contact details including telephone numbers on the link above).

I'll keep this offer open untill the end of February '04.

Can provide plenty of references from long term clients

I just spoke to Alan Moon for 30 minutes or so and we might put a deal together for myself and a mate of mine for 2 weeks.

He sounds very tuned into "needs"

We will be speaking again in the next couple of days.
