My buddy has a Nikko Golden Eagle .458win that he received in a trade. It is in good condition (a few dings and some mild wear on blue). He wants to sell it and from what I recall they had a pretty good reputation for japanese guns. Action is slick and trigger is good. He wants $550 for the rifle and a box of win ammo. I need another rifle like.......... well I really don't need it at all but I don't have a 458 right now. I won't be hunting with it so it would just be for fun. Any thoughts on the price or quality. For $550, it would be a good deal.... Mauser-type action, nice wood, great caliber. They usually go for $900-$1,150 or so, perhaps a bit more in 458.

Interesting. I had always understood they were push-feed actions. ------------------------------- Some Pictures from Namibia Some Pictures from Zimbabwe An Elephant Story
