I have always used Leupold or Burris bases and rings. I have heard good things about Talley bases and rings. I want to mount a scope on a Win Model 70 Safari Express rifle in 375 H&H. Do you recommend the Talley's or are the Leuplod and Burris fine too. Also, what about QD rings. Do you think these are good to have on this rifle or not. If you think QD rings are great; Why? How often do you use the QD feature? So, what brand and style rings and bases do you guy's like on you big bores?

I currently use the Leupold QR rings and bases. They've worked fine for six and one-half years and three safaris. However, I am switching over to the Talleys rifle by rifle because they are jus as functional and more attractive.

What is the difference price wise between the two?

IIRC, depending on who you buy from, you can get Talley's for about $30 more.
