Thanks for the address Digital. I'll send him a letter today. I hope he is doing well. I'll ask about the patched roundballs. My guess is that it's all about the paper. I patch .45 bullets for bpc rifles. I even have a webpage for it, but nothing there for roundballs I'm afraid.

MoreBS. It may be an odd size but this was made back in the 1820s. One of the earliest Langs with a low 3 digit serial number. not sure what Normal size would have been back then. NEIhandtools.com has a .630 bullet that would be about right, if I can get someone to make me a bump die to push it up to about .637 or whatever is appropriate.
