Went to the range today with my 375HH and some brand new Warne QD rings that holds a Swarowski 2,5-10x56.
first shot way down to the left, when a was almost centered i had used my share of adjustment for that day.
Has anyone had the same problem ? It shoots very thight so i dont want to mess around with it too much.
Ammo that was used is Federal cape shok 300 grains

3 things - 1st was the shot from a clean cold barrel? if so that shot from most rifles won't be on target. 2nd if you only shot once - go shoot some more 3rd my cz wasn't glass beded and the bedding left something to be desired, so i bedded it. on a heavy recoiling gun if you haven't bedded it, do so

I have used it before with other mounts, that were adjustable. same problem with those.
with 3 large recoil lugs and nice fitting, bedding doesn´t seem to be the primary solution to my problem. It has produced several subinch groups so it works well without glassbedding.

Do the rings hold the scope properly?. Try Ross Seyfried´s recipe: the goo solution. The Swarowski is a big and heavy scope and perhaps the inertia is getting it out of its placement.

The scope sits like it was glued.
I have had many different type of guns with various scopes on them.
So the basic stuff is taken care of.
Is there anyone with an CZ that had to do some work on the top of the system ?

Perhaps i should clarify my problem, the problem is not that it throws shots in a serie.
It´s all about that the vindage/elevation adjustments is not enough.

About five years ago I bought a CZ in .375 H&H and topped it with a Zeiss variable scope with a dangerous game reticle. I took it to the range and after bore sighting and it shot great groups but about 18 inches low at 50 yards! I used all of the elevation adjustment available on the scope and still shot about a foot low. I took it back to the gun dealer. They all looked at me like I was stupid but finally agreed to take it to the range. Two weeks later they admitted to the same problem. Our theory is the milled ramp was screwed up.

In any case, after some hell raising I got my money back and plopped it down on a model 70 safari with a Leoupold LPS variable. (Great rifle/scope setup I might add.)

In your second post you said you had tried different mounts...so my post may be a waste of bandwidth. Forgive me for any brain farts as this has been some years ago so this all IIRC. I have an early CZ 375 Euro stock that wouldn't zero with stock CZ mounts and a Leupold 1.75-6 scope. Same thing as yours, I ran out of adjustment. I tried Warne rings and it was better, but I finally used the Warne fixed rings and a Leup 1.5-5 scope that allowed me to zero with a little lee way. Not the perfect solution but it worked. Your scope and ring combo doesn't provide the adjustment needed to zero the rifle. Trueing the barrel to the receiver should (may?) correct this but I'm not a gunsmith and this type of thing is way out of my league. I DO KNOW that I understand what you are going through (been there done that) and hope you find a good solution.

Yepp that is correct. Hopefully i get me some nice bull.

A Ruger single shot of mine with a Leupy 1-4x in Ruger mounts shot great but when winding the magnification down the reticle was not in line with the fore sight. The mounts were changed to Leupy. When bore sighting the new scope/mounts combination, before taking it down to the range, it was obvious that the new mounts were better and the reticle was moved. The rifle grouped just as well as before and when adjusted at the range the scope was wound down, the reticle and front sight were in line.
With the Factory mounts, I assume there would have been a point of convergance at which distance the bullet would be hitting where it was aimed (in this case 100 yards) and that before and after that point, the bullet would be in lateral error.
In the Ruger mounts the reticle had to be wound right over to the left for it to hit where it was pointed and was within a couple of clicks of the limits of adjustment for it to be on aim, (100 yards). With the Leupy mounts the scopes' windage adjustment was just off centre.

Don't you just Love Ruger products.

The gun is going back to our distributor for evaluation.

Now it´s up and running. I have changed my scope to an 1,5-6x42 instead. it has an adjustmentrange of 2,2 meters.
The barrel was not 100% aligned to the system, but the new scope took care of that. If the gun had been shooting bad i would have returned it, but it shoots fine so i can live with the new scope.

One thing to consider for future reference, a 30mm scope has more adjustment room that a 1 inch tube ...tj3006
