Nothing stupendous to report. Just managed to chrono a few odd rounds of handloads through the Ruger No. 1 today. The Barnes .412 400-grain solid over 50 grains Varget gave about 1900 and surprisingly mild recoil. The 300-grain Hornady over 52 grains Re7 gave 2340 and a much snappier recoil impulse. Very interesting. Have you tried Reloader 7 w/the 400 gr bullets yet? I have a Ruger #1 in 405 myself and thus far have only tried 210 gr and 300 gr bullets. That 400 gr load intrigues me.

AtkinsonI have never seen two .405s with the same bore diameter!! thats the problem with them...
