I have never used that press. If it has 4 inches of clearance it should work. Warning,
when you are resizing the 500 cases be sure to use a case lube. It is very easy to tear the thin rim off those 500 NE cases. Been there done that! Had to pound it out!

Roman,
I load some cast bullets for a friend's 500 BPE.
I can't remember who made them. I'll check.

Thanks, Rusty! I'll wait. There are some problems with sending bullets by post offices in Russia, that's why I will appreciate any information about making and loading lead bullets.

A while back Lakelander sent me a great article regarding the 500 BPE and the original loadings as well as using Substitute powders.
The original loads did not include heavy projectiles but were in the 300 to 440 weight range. Henry Sharpe in "Modern Gunnery" 1906 listed the W.R. BPE load at 1650 fps with a 360 gr. load.
He listed another as 340 gr. @ 1925 FPS both rifles using 28 inch barrels which I believe were fairly standard at the time.
I think there is a 440 gr. load right at 1800 fps which I was most interested in but I cannot find the article until I finish unpacking all my stuff.

I have both Hollywood and rcbs dies and am using the rcbs Supreme. Also 215's only.
