I have just seen this rifle and think it is a very interesting and forward thinking design. I am wondering if any of you have personal experience with this rifle. What I am interested in is saftey, reliability, and accuracy. Thanks for your input.

As you will soon find out, people either love or hate the Blaser R 93.
I have shot and hunmted with one a fair amount.
I like mine quite a bit.
I use Double Rifles for a lot of my hunting, but when I uuse a Bolt Rifle I use a Blaser R 93.
I have found it to be 100% reliable. I have used mine if heavy rain and dusty conditions.
All my barrels from 223 to 375 H&H are very accurate.

Do a search there has been a lot of talk about the Blaser R 93.

I have met some African pro hunters who have seen some problems with them, such as bolts being stuck shut or won't close on a round.
I think these two problems are due to lack of proper maintenance and hot loads.
My self and a few friends have used our Blasers for many years shooting thousands of rounds and plenty of game from Foxes,pigs, deer,Ibex and plains game on up to Lion and many Buffalo with NO problems.
