Hi,

I've just been reading some old threads and came across a reference to some data from Mike 375 regarding reduced loads in a 375 H&H, does anyone know what this data was or how to locate it?
If your reading this Mike 375, do you have any loading data using ADI powders for reduced loads in the 375 H&H.

Does anyone know if ADI's Trailboss can be used for reduced loads in the 375 H&H? and what the powder charge would be?

I'm still waiting for the reloading dies and projectiles to arrive.
Thanks

Found two sources, one for Hornady 220-grainers and H4227 @ 35.6 to 38.1 grains or SR4759 to 42 grains; the other with Sierra 200-grainers and SR 4759 to 41 grains.

I use Trailboss a lot for my large bores. It is so pleasant to shoot, I can practice without the need to call my orthopedist for an appointment. Try it, you'll like it. It tames the NE and Rigby, just plain fun in the .375 H&H, and .458 WM. Load it per the recommendations. I've found very little difference in accurachy from the starting load to the "max" loads. And it is very accurate.

Check out the Sierra manual......
200gr FN 71.5grns IMR4064 2900fps
(not recommended as a hunting load at these speeds)
200gr FN 41grn SR4759 2250fps

I've shot the IMR4064 loads they work fine for short distances and gun drills

I have killed deer with the following reduced 375 H&H loads.
The 220gr Hornady Flat Point over 60, and 64gr of IMR 3031.

The 235 Speer over 64gr of IMR 3031.

I loaded up some loads for a buddy with the 250gr Sierra Spz over 64 gr of IMR 3031. He reported great results on deer.

I have used both Trail Boss and Red Dot for reduced load practice ammo in the .375 H&H. I used 220-235 grain bullets. Both were surprisingly accurate and had essentially no recoil.

Here is a Link to some Trail Boss Loads. There is one for the 375 H&H. I haven't tried the 375 load but have used Trail Boss and 350 grain cast bullets in my 458 Win Mag. Kicks less than a 7 mag.

Hi
After some more advice please.

I purchased some 220gn FP for the 375 Win, they are commercial hard cast with a coating instead of grease grooves and are rated to 2300fps.

Does any one have loading data that will produce a velocity between 1800-2300fps?

Thanks
