He is getting stationed in Hawaii and has asked me to store his guns for him while he is there (about 3.5 years). Being a nice guy and liking to help people out I said yes. He expects me to take his guns out and exercise them periodicly. The work I do for people!! His wife just bought him a .375 H&H (no there aren't any more at home like her) for their 10th anniversary. He expects me to take it out, shoot and use it. Now I have a temporary .375 that I have to use instead of doing thinngs like catching up on the honey do list. I have never loaded for the .375 and was thinking of starting with the 235 gr. Barnes X bullet. Has anyone ever used this bullet on game in like elk? Well I better get to work on it cause I don't want to disappoint him. While all of you guys are having fun working on things like the honey do list, cleaning out the garage and mowing the lawn please remember me in all o0f my travails doing all of this extra loading and shooting. This might set back my own big bore project if my other half ever finds out what the .375 is good for. WyoJoe

Or, the least he should do for putting you through the trouble of gun-sitting is to fund a trip for you to Alaska to hunt kodiaks and moose. If he is an especially appreciative person, then he should send you to Africa. I would at least suggest the Africa trip.

The way your brother is abusing you, Wyo, brought a tear to my eye just reading this post. Hope you can bear up under this treatment. My big brother did me this way with a couple of his rifles once and I never forgave him......when he finally wanted them back. Indian giver! [ 05-30-2002, 03:48: Message edited by: Pecos45 ]
